Medical & Dental Colleges Entry Test Fee Increases to 100%

Faisalabad, Punjab government has increased the entry test fee up to 100 % to meet the expenditure incurred on the medical and dental college entry test. The government has calculated that previous year, about 36,098 candidates appeared in the entry test for grant of admission in the medical and dental colleges of the province and they had to deposit the fee of Rs.500 per head which came to Rs.1,80,49,000 but the total expenditure incurred on the test were Rs.3,68,26,380. To meet the expenditure, the government had to issue grant of Rs, 2 crores.

It is estimated that about 40,000 candidates will appear in the entry test for the medical and dental colleges and the total expenditure on the entry test for admission in the medical and dental colleges will be Rs. 3.5 crores. The government will collect Rs.1000 from every candidate, which is double entry test fee if compared with last year entry test fee. The government is going to make all necessary arrangements to conduct the entry test of the candidates, which has been finalized on September 22, 2013.
