155 Scholarships Award by US to ADE Students

Karachi, The US Agency for International Development has started a Teacher Education Project in which they are awarding 155 scholarships to the students for getting Associate Degree in Education. This program will constitute 2 years ADE and 4 years Bachelor degree in education programs in Sindh province. Addressing the gathering of the students in this conference, the Director of Education Office of US Agency for International Development has said that the main objective of this scholarship is to impart training and education to the teachers and educationists so that they will be able to transfer information, education and training to their students and help to boost the standard of education in all areas of the countries especially in the flooded areas of the country. USAID has already working on different projects for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the educational institutions.

He further added that the US government wants to make Pakistan more civilized and advanced through the implementation of various projects in different sectors in order to make Pakistan stronger and progressive. Various long term programs and projects help Pakistan in making improvements in our country.

The scholarship programs will be conducted through teacher training projects and through the coordination f various provincial and regional departments of education, educational institutes, colleges and universities. About 1900 students will be given scholarships through this program and offer them to get education and training of Associate Degree in Education and B.Ed (Hons) programs in various parts of Pakistan.

The education secretary of Sindh province was also present in the ceremony for showing harmony with the US-Pakistan partnership and for the improvement of education standard and availability of education to every child of the province.
