Declared HSSC Forms Submission Schedule by BIEK

The annual higher secondary school certificate (HSSC), Part-1, 2013 examination’s dates of submission of forms for all groups, was declared on Thursday, by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), in Karachi.

Muhammad Imran Khan Chishti, the Controller of Examination of BIEK, announced that all Part -1 students of commerce (Private) and Humanities (Private), will be submitting their forms at the branch bank in the board office, while forms will be submitted in their respective colleges by regular students.

The notification of BIEK says that students will have to submit their forms from 19th Nov till 12th Dec, after that additional Rs 200 as late fee will be charged to students who will submit their forms from 13th Dec till 7th Jan 2012-13.

Till 21st Jan 2013, the students submitting their forms, would be charged Rs.500, as an additional late fee, while an additional Rs.1000, as late fee would be charged to the candidates submitting their forms from 22nd Jan till 4th Feb 2013.

All the Pre-medical, pre-engineering, science general, commerce, humanities, home economics, and medical technologies group’s candidates, without late fees, will submit their forms during the same due dates.

PTA announced Reopening of Youtube in Dec

Farooq Awan, the Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced on Thursday, in Islamabad, that Youtube, the video sharing website will be reopen in the next 15-20 days.

The owner of the Youtube, the Company Google is talked to block the blasphemous contents, as said by the Chairman Farooq Awan.

Raja Pervez Ashraf, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, in the aftermath of protest against the anti-Islamic film “Innocence of Muslims,” ordered to shutdown Youtube, the video sharing website on 17th September.

Five SIMs would be issued on an individual’s CNIC from December 1, as according to the Chairman of PTA. The Farooq Awan further added that from the franchise of mobile company stores, the SIMs would be issued.

The Supreme Court learned earlier that the Youtube Management, by saying that it does not have any such agreement with the government of Pakistan, reject the request of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), to remove irreligious video clips about the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

19th Nov, AIOU Final Spring Semester Exams

For Spring Semester 2012, the final examinations of PGD, MA and MSc levels will start throughout the country from 19th November 2012, at the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad.

The roll number slips have been dispatched to the given addresses of all enrolled students, as told by the Controller of Examination at AIOU, Muhammad Bashir Chaudhry. The students are advised by the controller to contact the nearest regional offices of AIOU, or to Arshad Khan Baloch, the Deputy Controller of Examinations of AIOU, on his personal number 051-9259951. The duly attested two passport size photographs by gazette officers are required to be brought by the students for duplicate roll number slips.

The date sheets along with roll number slips, for the convenience of the students, are available on www.aiou.edu.pk. It is advised to all the students in their own interest, to read the instruction mentioned on their roll number slips, before entering into the examination centers.

Fee Schedule for MBBS Exam 2012, issued by Sindh University

At the Govt Degree College Kari Mori, Hyderabad, for the external candidates in all the subjects, the Viva Voice examinations of MA (final) fresh and Failure, annual examination 2012 will be held from 17th November 2012, which is announced by Controller of Examinations Dr. Naeem Tariq Narejo of Sindh University, Karachi.

All the concerned eligible Candidates for the First Professional (1st and 2nd Year), Second Professional (3rd Year), Third Professional (4th Year) and Final Professional M.B.B.S annual examination 2012, has been notified all the information by the controller, that examinations forms can be obtained from the Muhammad Medical College, Mirpur Khas, from the office of the principal, and should be fill in starting from 15th November to 26th November 2012. And up to 30th November 2012, the same forms can be submitted.

Rs. 7500/= fees could be pay by the students up to the due date, as informed by the controller. Separate charges of Rs. 5000/= will have to be payed as late fee from 27th November till 7th December 2012.

Stipend Certificates Given to Over 35 Position Holders

At the No 1 School of Fatehjang, the Government Boys High School, the Stipend Certificate with an amount of Rs 150,000 was received by more than 35 position holders on Tuesday.

In order to help poor students, the Punjab’s Chief Minister founded the Punjab Education Endowment Funds, which gave approval to the amount of stipend certificate. Ch. Sher Ali Khan, who is the Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) from PP-17, was the chief guest at the occasion.

With Rs 10 billion as the initial money, the Punjab Education Endowment Funds was established with an aim to help poor needy people. According to Ch. Sher Ali Khan, those bright students would be given stipend certificate, who unable to continue their studies due to the poverty, as the financial assistance. He also said that government development funds would be given for the construction of more schools.

A grant would be provided, to construct the buildings for the district education officers both male and female, was said by the Ch. Sher Ali Khan.

Banking Facilities by KEMU to the Students

In Lahore, the students and employees will be provided banking facilities within the campus by the King Edward Medical University (KEMU). The Habib Bank Ltd has offered highest rent, according to the senior admin official of the University, in order to open a collection center and an ATM within the premises of the University.

The senior admin official told that banking services by this step will be provided to 4000 students and 1000 employees. The bank will provide free services to the students, employees of KEMU, along with allied hospitals and general public, according to the terms and conditions of the bank, on the basis of payments of the dues to the University.

An ATM, within the premises of the University would be installed, preferably at the collection center. Installment of more ATMs may take place, if required in the future.

SMIU Pre-Entry Test on November 18

In the premises of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), an admission test in five departments will be organized on 18th November. The Media Studies, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Education Science and Computer Science are the five departments.

Under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor of SMIU, Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, a meeting of the dean of faculties of SMIU, on this respect was held on Tuesday, where necessary arrangements details were studied.

According to Dr Shaikh, who addressed in the meeting that the history of SMIU is spread over 127 years, and in this history of SMIU, it is an historic phase that talented students for the first batch will be selected for the University. In the SMIU, the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan received education along with the many other great leaders, intellectuals and professionals.

New examples of success will be set by the SMIU in the future, while upholding the glorious past of the University, according to Dr Shaikh. The students will be admitted in the SMIU purely on the basis of merit, while the talented students belonging to poor families of the province will be given the chance to study at the historic institute of SMIU.

Admission Schedule Issued by PU for B.Ed (Special Needs)

In Lahore, the schedule of the submission of admission forms for the B.Ed (Special Needs) was issued by the Punjab University Examination Department on Saturday 10th November 2012, along with the issue of 2nd Annual examination of 2011, the 2010-2011 sessions, the Annual examination of 2012, and the 2011-2012 sessions. The submission of admission forms with single fee can be done till the last date of 19-11-2012, while the last date of submission of admission forms with double fee is 21-11-2012. The beginning of the effective examination is from November 29, 2012.

NA Passed 2012 Bill of Free and Compulsory Education

“The Right to Free and Compulsory Education Bill,” was passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan, in Islamabad on Tuesday. The children aged 5 to 16 of poor families will be provided free and compulsory education in Islamabad under this bill.

In the private schools, the deprived students were allotted 10 percent quota by the government under the 2012 Bill. The Minister for the Religious Affairs, Syed Khurshid Shah expressed a hope that with the passage of the bill, the province will follow suit and make legislation accordingly, and he said that providing free and compulsory education will be the basic priority of the government.

A fine of about Rs 25,000 could be charged on the parents of the children who do not attend the school or they could be jailed for six months. If it is found that the children who should be attending school are working then the parents will get double punishment.

In June of this year, the Bill 2012 was passed by the Senate.
