Sindh Educational Boards Meeting

Karachi, Sindh Governor and Chief Minister issued necessary instructions to the chairmen of all educational boards of the province for the formation of a committee which will be headed by the Chairmen of Karachi Board of Intermediate Education for adopting a uniform system in their boards. The educational boards have decided to follow the uniform direction for implementation of their policies and other decisions collaborated with each other.

Fee Schedule Announce by Sindh Agriculture University

Tandojam, Fee schedule for the first term/first semester regular exams for the academic year 2011 has been issued by the Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam.

According to the fee schedule issued by the university, the students can deposit regular fee of Rs.500 with their examination forms till November 14, 2012. The students may also deposit the regular fee along with late fee of Rs.150 till November 16, 2012. After these dates the students can deposit regular fee with late fee of Rs.1000 with examination forms till the start of the exams. The exams will be commenced from November 20, 2012.

Sindh Agriculture University is located in Tandojam, a city 18 km away from Hyderabad and this city is linked with Karachi through super highway and is far from Karachi airport at 200 km distance.

155 Scholarships Award by US to ADE Students

Karachi, The US Agency for International Development has started a Teacher Education Project in which they are awarding 155 scholarships to the students for getting Associate Degree in Education. This program will constitute 2 years ADE and 4 years Bachelor degree in education programs in Sindh province. Addressing the gathering of the students in this conference, the Director of Education Office of US Agency for International Development has said that the main objective of this scholarship is to impart training and education to the teachers and educationists so that they will be able to transfer information, education and training to their students and help to boost the standard of education in all areas of the countries especially in the flooded areas of the country. USAID has already working on different projects for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the educational institutions.

He further added that the US government wants to make Pakistan more civilized and advanced through the implementation of various projects in different sectors in order to make Pakistan stronger and progressive. Various long term programs and projects help Pakistan in making improvements in our country.

The scholarship programs will be conducted through teacher training projects and through the coordination f various provincial and regional departments of education, educational institutes, colleges and universities. About 1900 students will be given scholarships through this program and offer them to get education and training of Associate Degree in Education and B.Ed (Hons) programs in various parts of Pakistan.

The education secretary of Sindh province was also present in the ceremony for showing harmony with the US-Pakistan partnership and for the improvement of education standard and availability of education to every child of the province.

MA/MSc/PGD Exams for Spring Semester 2012 Starts from Nov 19

Islamabad, The examination department of Allama Iqbal Open University has announced that the spring semester exams 2012 will be commenced from November 19, 2012.

The university official told that the spring semester exams of MA/MSc/PGD will be started from November 19 for which the roll number slips and date sheet have been dispatched to all students on their mailing addresses. The students who do not receive roll number slips and date sheet, they should contact with the main campus of the University held at Islamabad or their nearest regional campuses with two passport size photographs duly attested by the gazette officer for getting duplicate roll number slip.

Scholarship Gave Away to over 300 Needy Students

Peshawar, Islamia College University Peshawar has celebrated their diamond jubilee celebration in the Takbir hall of the University in which former governor of KPK, Lieutenant General (r) Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai was the chief guest. During the celebration and different other programs, more than 300 students including 250 boys and 50 girls have been awarded with scholarships in recognizing their brilliant performance during the academic year and to meet the requirements of the needy students.

The former governor said while delivering his speech on the occasion that the students are the future of the country and they should get quality education as they would have to lead the nation in different field. If they are well educated then they will give the country progress and prosperity. The students should get education not taking it as a burden on their lives but as a moral duty for their own betterment as well as for the country.

Elimination of Evening Shift in Capital Schools

Islamabad, About two decades ago, the evening or second shift in all government schools was introduced to accommodate the increasing number of students as there was less number of schools who could not cope with the increasing number of students.

Now the previous Prime Minister issued orders for the elimination of second or evening shift from all schools situated in Islamabad. Due to some problems this decision was not adopted and action was not taken on this plan.

Now the Federal Directorate of Education has said that the Minister of Capital Administration and Development has issued necessary directive to act on the decision. By implementing this decision the FDE authority has made strategy to work on the elimination of evening class in different phases. In the first phase, the classes from one to five will be eliminated during April 2013. In the second phase program, the classes of 6th and 7thj will be eliminated during April 2014 and in the final phase of the plan the classes from 8th to 10th will be eliminated

It is also decided that the students of all eliminated classes will be adjusted in other schools near to their residence.

Date Sheet for Different Exams Issue by Punjab University

Lahore, Punjab University is going to start different exams in different faculties for which the examination department has issued date sheets and roll number slips to the concerned candidates. The examination department issued date sheets of various exams including Second Semester Examination, 2012 of BS 4 Years Program, First Year BS in Computer Science 2nd annual examination 2011 & 1st annual examination 2012, B.Com Part-I and II, 2nd annual examination 2012, Second Year BS in Computer Sciences 2nd annual examination 2011 & 1st annual examination 2012, Fourth Semester Examination, 2012 of BS 4 Years Program, Third Year BS in Computer Science 2nd annual examination 2011 & 1st annual examination 2012, Fourth Year BS in Computer Science 2nd annual examination 2011 & 1st annual examination 2012, Second Year MSc I.T 2nd annual examination 2011 and 1st annual examination 2012, First Year MSc I.T 2nd annual examination 2011 & 1st annual examination 2012.

The Practical Examination of B.Ed 2nd annual examination, 2011 & 1st annual examination, 2012 in the subject of Biology (A&B) were going to held on November 09, 2012 will now these practical papers will be held on November 16, 2012. The information regarding groups, time and venue will remain the same as already mentioned.

NUST Student Attended WEF as Youngest Participant

Islamabad, A young 21 years old student, Malik Shahriyar studying at National University of Sciences and technology become the youngest participant in the World Economic Forum which was held from November 6 to 8, 2012 in India.

WEF is an independent organization which is functioning for the betterment and improvement of the economics situation in almost all countries of the world. During this recent forum, almost 500 politicians, government officials and businessmen have attended this forum to share their view and the possible solutions of the economic crises in the world.

Mailk Shahriyar has already developed his own Youth Economic Forum this year with other colleagues as an economics student. He has done his efforts for fulfilling the gap between the youth and the economic policy making and in this way he attend the World Economic Forum.

Punjab University Starts IBA Admission 2013

Lahore, University of The Punjab, Institute of Business Administration has announced the commencement of Admission 2013 for MBA evening classes and PGD. The administration of the University has instructed the students to obtain admission forms from the department of Business Administration which will be available from November 12, 2012 and submit them duly completed in all respects and submit to the office of the Institute of Business Administration till November 30, 2012.

The students have also been instructed to attach photo copies of all academic credentials and other related documents with the examination applications and submit the application forms within stipulated period. After the scrutiny of documents and examination applications, the eligible candidates will have to appear in an entry test which will be held on December 02, 2012. The candidates who qualify in the entry test will have to appear before the selection committee for an interview from where the qualified candidates will be granted admission in the relevant faculty for which they have applied for.

Karachi University Last Date for submission of Examination Forms for MA/double MA (Private)

Karachi, The University of Karachi was announced the examinations of MA/double MA (private) and for the students who seek improvement in the division for which registration forms were accepted from the students. Now the University administration has accorded extension in the last date for submission of examination forms for MA/double MA (private) candidates which will be December 17, 2012.

The University administration instructed to the students for submission of examination forms along with payment of regular fee of Rs.2500 before closing of the final date. The students can also change their subjects simply by the payment of Rs.500 each subject.
