Lahore, The Examination Department of the University of Health Sciences Lahore has started admission process for various postgraduate courses for year 2013-14 in Postgraduate Medical Institute. Now the University has announced that the admission entry test of the candidates will be held on May 18, 2013.

The sources of the university has told that they have received application forms for admission up to 1400 and now they are going to conduct the entry test of the candidates for grant of admission in the postgraduate medical courses. The qualified candidates will be given admission in the university.

Mardan, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan is going to start the annual examination process for the year 2013 for BA/BSc Part 1 and 2. The sources of the University has told that the annual exams of BA/BSc will be started from June 12, 2013 and it will be last for July 10, 2013. The papers will be started from 09 in the morning and will be finished at 12 at noon. Karachi, The Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi, Prof Dr Muhammad Qaisar has announced that they are going to launch the Thalassemia Screening Center at the University. He also announced that after some time, their university will be declared Thalassemia free education institution.  For this purpose the University will work with the non-gopvernmental organization, Omair Sana Foundation which will help them to remove the Thalassemia and some other related health problems. The University has started the Thalassemia Screening Center for the removal of Thalassemia which is genetic blood syndromes

Malakand, Malakand University is going to start the annual exams process in the University for B,Ed/M.Ed annual exams for the year 2013. The forms submission schedule has been announced according to which the regular, late college students along with private candidates can get admission forms from Allied Bank all branches, National Bank of Pakistan, Main Campus and Chakdara branches, and Habib Bank Limited Malakand Division all branches free of cost. The candidates can also download the admission forms from the website of the University.

The candidates should forward the admission forms to the examination department of the University before closing of the final date, as late coming application forms for admission will not be accepted.

Islamabad, United States Agency for International Development has announced about five scholarships to the students living in FATA and KPK regions. The agency has announced these scholarships for the candidates for providing opportunity to get higher education.

The USAID has also announced that they will also grant scholarships to about 1000 students every year and they will award 1000 scholarships on yearly basis for about three years. The agency has declared that there are about 15000 families living in these areas and most of the women are widowed & their children are living an orphanage life. This scholarship will help them to complete their education. The agency has fixed about $25 million for the students, workers and their families who are flood affected & they are getting benefit of this scholarship scheme.
