B.Com Exam Schedule announced for regular students for KU

In Karachi, by the University of Karachi, for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) examination, for regular students, the schedule has been declared. The exams from Monday, 24th December 2012, will be start.

As according to the officials, for B.Com part 1 & 2, from Monday, the examination would start. 35 examination centers are arranged by the University for the male candidates in different departments while in the port city, in different colleges, arrangement of 19 centers for female candidates is done.

Registration of around 9,729 male students and 7,314 female students is done to take the B.Com Part-I, whereas for the exam of B.Com Part-II, registration of 3,978 male candidates and 3,845 female candidates is done.

All examinations would be conducted as further said by official, between 2PM to 5PM in the afternoon.

Spring Admissions 2013 started by FCC in M.Phil Chemistry

To the Spring session 2013, the admissions have been opened by the Forman Christian College in Lahore while on 7th January 2013; it will be started in M.Phil Chemistry. In order to get admissions, the admission criteria and schedule has been described.

For Successful interview and passing FCC Aptitude Test in Chemistry (FATC), Candidate must have minimum CGPA 2.5 or 60% marks for conventional MSc and Graduate Assessment Test score of 50%, in the BSc (Hons) Chemistry or a related field or conventional MSc Chemistry or a related field.

From 7th January 2013, applications can be taken from the Ahmed Saeed Administration Building, Accounts Office and till the last date of Jan 14, 2013, the forms can be submitted.

On 18th January 2013, uploading of the names of shortlisted candidates will be done while the interviews in 21st Jan will be conducted and final merit list, on 24th Jan will be displayed while classes from 11th Feb 2013 would begin.

Dates and Schedule 2013 in Pakistan of GAT General Test

The officials have now declared the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General Test Schedule for the year 2013. To the National Testing Service (NTS), the responsibility of conducting the exams of GAT General Test is assigned but basically with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), this test has been concerned. For the admissions, this test is taken in M.Phil and HEC Scholarship Schemes.

For two years, the results of the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General is valid only and to appear in this test, the eligibility criteria include those students by whom sixteen years of education have been completed. KU Starts Admissions in Evening Classes Today

Karachi, University of Karachi has started admissions in different disciplines including Masters, BS Hons, diploma and certificate courses for the evening classes for the year 2013. The admission process is started today on December 17, 2012 which is announced by the Director of evening classes Prof Dr Abu Zar Wajdi.

According to the details of the subjects and classes in which admission are being granted, are included BS (Hons) in Agriculture and Agri Business Management, Economics, Education, English, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology, Psychology, Public Administration, Urdu, Women Studies and Zoology, Audiology and Speech Pathology, Actuarial Sciences and Risk Management, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Sociology, Special Education, Statistics, Botany, General History.

The candidates who want to get admission in Master degree courses should submit their admission forms for grant of admission in the disciplines including MCS, MBA, Library & Information science and Pharm D courses.

The candidates who want to get admission in the certificate courses are included Mathematics, Social Work, Child Psychology, Persian Language, Petroleum Technology, Mass Communication, Library and Information Science, Local Government, Arabic, Human Behaviour and Urdu.

The eligible candidates should collect admission forms with prospectus from UBL bank counter at Silver Jubilee Gate of the University on the cash payment of Rs.1000 and submit till December 26, 2012.

The candidates who apply for graduation programs must have 45 percent marks and the candidates applying for master level programs including MBA and BBA programs and the candidates have 55 percent marks are eligible for applying in BSSE/BSCS programs. The departments will conduct the entry test for the grant of admission. The candidates who qualify in the entry test will be eligible for grant of admission.

FCC Ewing Literary Society Stands 3rd in Essay Writing Competition

Lahore, The Ewing Literary Society of Foreman Christian College Lahore participated in the essay writing competition which was arranged in Kinnaird College by the Political Science department on December 07, 2012 and got third position in the competition. The competition was organized in the collaboration of the IPAIDABRIBE on the eve of International Anti-Corruption Day. The participants of the competition were given the topic “Is corruption the price we pay for democracy?”

PU Announces MA Level Exams Result

Lahore, Punjab University, Examinations Department announced results of various annual exams 2012 at Master level including MA Kashmiriat Part-I, MA History Part-II and MSc Mathematics Part-I.

The examination department has also announced the detailed schedule for the practical/viva voce exams for the first and second year BS Computer Science 2nd annual exams 2011, first annual exams 2012 and 3rd year BS Computer Science exams 2012. All these practical/viva voce exams are scheduled to be held in December 2012.

KU Introduces Institute of Chinese Language

Karachi, Vice Chancellor of Karachi University, Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser has announced that the Institute of Chinese Language is going to be established in the University.

Prof Dr. Muhammad Qaiser was on the tour of Sichuan Normal University China with Prof Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Registrar of Karachi University.

The aim of the establishment of Chinese Language Institute is to provide the students facility of understanding the Chinese language while attending the advanced course free of cost from the Sichuan Normal University China.

A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between Karachi University and Sichuan Normal University China at this occasion.

Admission Open in PGD Statistics at KU

Karachi, Admission process is opened in the Postgraduate diplomas in Statistics in Karachi University. The admission forms are available in the relevant department and the students who want to take admission in the postgraduate diploma courses at Karachi University in Statistics department should report to the concerned department and obtain admission forms. The students will have to submit the admission forms on or before December 21, 2012 after completing them fully.

The concerned administration of the University will display the list of eligible candidates on the notice board of the department on December 26, 2012. The admitted students will have to deposit the admission fee from December 27, 2012 to January 04, 2013 and classes for PGD courses will be started from January 07, 2013.

This is the one year course which will be conducted from 03:00 pm to 05:30 pm and the students who will complete this course with their BA/BSc/B.Com in Biological Sciences will be eligible for grant of admission in Masters in Computer Sciences and MA/MSc in Statistics.
