Banking Facilities by KEMU to the Students

In Lahore, the students and employees will be provided banking facilities within the campus by the King Edward Medical University (KEMU). The Habib Bank Ltd has offered highest rent, according to the senior admin official of the University, in order to open a collection center and an ATM within the premises of the University.

The senior admin official told that banking services by this step will be provided to 4000 students and 1000 employees. The bank will provide free services to the students, employees of KEMU, along with allied hospitals and general public, according to the terms and conditions of the bank, on the basis of payments of the dues to the University.

An ATM, within the premises of the University would be installed, preferably at the collection center. Installment of more ATMs may take place, if required in the future.

SMIU Pre-Entry Test on November 18

In the premises of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), an admission test in five departments will be organized on 18th November. The Media Studies, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Education Science and Computer Science are the five departments.

Under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor of SMIU, Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, a meeting of the dean of faculties of SMIU, on this respect was held on Tuesday, where necessary arrangements details were studied.

According to Dr Shaikh, who addressed in the meeting that the history of SMIU is spread over 127 years, and in this history of SMIU, it is an historic phase that talented students for the first batch will be selected for the University. In the SMIU, the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan received education along with the many other great leaders, intellectuals and professionals.

New examples of success will be set by the SMIU in the future, while upholding the glorious past of the University, according to Dr Shaikh. The students will be admitted in the SMIU purely on the basis of merit, while the talented students belonging to poor families of the province will be given the chance to study at the historic institute of SMIU.

Admission Schedule Issued by PU for B.Ed (Special Needs)

In Lahore, the schedule of the submission of admission forms for the B.Ed (Special Needs) was issued by the Punjab University Examination Department on Saturday 10th November 2012, along with the issue of 2nd Annual examination of 2011, the 2010-2011 sessions, the Annual examination of 2012, and the 2011-2012 sessions. The submission of admission forms with single fee can be done till the last date of 19-11-2012, while the last date of submission of admission forms with double fee is 21-11-2012. The beginning of the effective examination is from November 29, 2012.

NA Passed 2012 Bill of Free and Compulsory Education

“The Right to Free and Compulsory Education Bill,” was passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan, in Islamabad on Tuesday. The children aged 5 to 16 of poor families will be provided free and compulsory education in Islamabad under this bill.

In the private schools, the deprived students were allotted 10 percent quota by the government under the 2012 Bill. The Minister for the Religious Affairs, Syed Khurshid Shah expressed a hope that with the passage of the bill, the province will follow suit and make legislation accordingly, and he said that providing free and compulsory education will be the basic priority of the government.

A fine of about Rs 25,000 could be charged on the parents of the children who do not attend the school or they could be jailed for six months. If it is found that the children who should be attending school are working then the parents will get double punishment.

In June of this year, the Bill 2012 was passed by the Senate.

BSEK Matric 9th Class Science Result 2012

BSEK is going to release ssc 9th class science result 2012 today. Karachi Baord of Secondary Education (BSEK) will announce 9th class science group result at 2:00pm. Karachi Board SSC Part-I science result will be available on www.biseresult.pk when it released by BSEK.

City University of Science and Information Technology Declares B.Tech Admission Schedule

Peshawar, The City University has announced admissions in various disciplines including Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Telecom and Electronics. The admission application can be received till November 16, 2012.

The University administration has advised the eligible candidates to obtain admission applications and submit them after completing them fully and deposit the admission fee in the concerned department with in the stipulated period.

Karachi University Introduces Aptitude Test Basis Admissions 2013

Karachi, Karachi University introduces the admission on aptitude test basis in various disciplines including BA/B.Com/BBA/BSc (Hons)/BPA/MSc/MBA/MPA. The eligible candidates should apply for the admission till November 19, 2012 with regular fee of rs.1500/-.

The students should deposit admission fee in the UBL Gulshan-i-Iqbal branch opposite Masjid Baitul Mukaram, Silver Jubilee gate of the university, the Nazimabad traffic intersection branch. The students who passed BS (Hons) 2nd years (4 semesters) and the students appeared in terminal exams of 4th semester can apply for the admission. The students will have to appear in the exams through entry tests and the passing candidates will be given admission in the University.

KPK Girl Students Award 15 scholarships by LCWU on Malala Day

Lahore, Lahore College for Women University has celebrated the Malala day on which the Vice Chancellor of the University announced 15 scholarships for the girl student residing in KPK and Northern Areas of the country. The scholarships comprised of 10 for the graduate class students and 05 for the postgraduate or PhD students. The scholarships constitute hostel accommodation and expenses also.

Addressing to the gathering on the occasion, Vice Chancellor said that Malala is a symbol of spreading education for girls throughout the country. She showed her courage and bravery and raised her voice against the hostilities of the militants.

Chief Minister of Punjab also greeted the young girl, Malala on her bold act for getting education at every cost and now she showed her heroic action which resulted into spreading of education.

Scholarships for Need Based Students Offer by HEC Registration Forms and Lists

Higher Education Commission has decided to offer scholarships to the candidates who are very talented and intelligent and they want to get higher education but their budget does not allow them to carry on their education. To facilitate such kind of candidates they offered 10,000 candidates for the scholarships on the need base or deserving candidates.

The candidate forward their applications and give full details then the decision for award of scholarships will be given in the light of the information contained in the application forms. The candidates have to appear for interview then they will be granted scholarship to carry on their education. These scholarships will be comprised of various facilities including tuition fee, books, different educational expenditures, transport and hostel expenses.

HEC Starts STEM Career Program for Pakistan Olympiad Team

International Olympiads are unique and different contests in which the young and talented boys participated and showed their knowledge related with these subjects. This year the four Olympiad teams including Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry participated in the International Olympiads and won one silver and four bronze medals along with two honorable mentions in the contests.

Now this year again, Pakistan Institute of engineering and Applied Sciences with the coordination with the Higher Education Commission make necessary arrangements for the commissioning of young matric or O level brilliant and talented students to compete in the International Olympiad which will be held during 2014. The candidates should forward their application on or before December 21, 2012.

These students will be able to contest in the 25th International Biology Olympiads in Indonesia, 55th International Mathematics Olympiads in South Africa, 46th International Chemistry Olympiad in Vietnam and 45th International Physics Olympiads in Slovenia. The students will be selected through applications which they will forward and then the selected candidates will be gone under some series of training camps in which 4-6 member teams will be made.

Higher education Commission also announced that the students should be eligible if they fulfill the pre-requisites of not more than 20 years on 30th June 2014. They should pass with aggregated 70% marks and they will be in FSc Part I and they will not appear in the FSc Part II during May June 2014.
