HEC will be awarding a Scholarship of 23M with the support of World Bank to the students of Government College Faisalabad. The Vice Chancellor Dr. Zakir Hussain said that when he was chairing a meeting at financial aid office of students and according to the news revealed this initiative will provide a support to 214 students.
The initiative taken by HEC for the up gradation of higher studies was appreciated a lot by him, he added that during the last decade over 10000 local and abroad students had been awarded scholarships bye HEC which is a great step. The registration of students at universities across the Pakistan has improved as a result according to Dr. Zakir Hussain who provided a figure of 330000 improving to a billion almost. The number of female’s enrollment has also been increased from 36 to 46 percent which is as a result of steps taken by HEC.
