Lahore, University of the Punjab, Department of Examinations has announced complete date sheet for the supply exams of MA Education (Elementary/General/Secondary) for the year 2012 and the annual exams for 2013. The university has also announced that the annual exams will be commenced from June 26, 2013.

A large number of students from Institute of Communication Studies from Punjab University are still waiting for their degrees to be recognized since 2004 from Government Bodies and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.  The Punjab University is awarding MS Communication degree though but Higher Education has not recognized this degree and not by any other institute as well. Recently an incident came to our notice in which a student completed his MS in Communication planned to go abroad for higher studies asked Higher Education Commission whether his degree was recognized or not he was shocked to hear that there was no record of his degree available at HEC. According to HEC there is no such MS 2 year’s degree after the completion of 2 years Bachelors Program.

Then it was seen that a letter was written to the controller examination of University of Punjab by the authorities of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the letter had explanation about the MS degree being equivalent to MPhil in Communication not to MSc Communication which should be revised by PU according to HEC. There are a large number of students whose degrees are still not verified from HEC, they urge higher authorities to take such actions to resolve this issue.

According to the news the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan will provide broadband internet facility to almost 600 public colleges of Pakistan. The news says that the scheme is provided by the Provincial Government whereas most of the contribution will be from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

The admission opens in the Former Christian College Lahore in Baccalaureate Hons which is a 4 year program therefore students are required to submit admission applications as early as before the last date.

Now let’s have a look on the eligibility criteria, all the students who have registered in at least 3 levels of A-Level for May, June 2013 and all the students clearing their Intermediate Exams Part 1. The other students who have completed at least 3 A levels, American High School/ Intermediate or their equivalence can apply as well.

All the students meeting the above criteria will have to take a Forman Entrance Test (Accuplacer). The students who want to apply for BS Biotechnology should have studied Biology in either A-Levels or in Intermediate (FSc Pre Medical). The admission will not be granted if the students are unable to clear his Intermediate Examination or do not have a minimum of 3 A-Levels. Next is the method of depositing processing fee and where to deposit that fee, total of 1500 fee is required to be deposited in Bank Al Falah Collection Booth FC College.

Lahore, The Examination department of the University of the Punjab has announced complete practical date sheet of the BS (4 years program) semester exams for the year 2013. Karachi, The Examination department of the Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi has started the Fall admission in the BBA, MBA and MBA Executive and diploma of 4 months.

The candidates, who have passed the intermediate 2^nd division or A Level with 3 passes, 16 years of education with 2^nd division or 14 years of education with 2^nd division and have the experience of working for 4 years with 2^nd division, are eligible for grant of admission in the University.

Islamabad, The Examination department of International Islamic University Islamabad has announce that they are going to start the admission process in different programs including Urdu, English, Sociology, Art & Architecture, Persian, Shariah & Law, Psychology, Media and Communication Studies, Education and History & Pak Studies.

The male candidates should send their applications for admission to Admission Office (Male), Basement Admin Block, International Islamic University, H-10, Islamabad and the female candidates should send their applications for admission to Admission Office (Female), Admin Blocvk, ground Floor, International Islamic University, H-10, Islamabad. The candidates should send their applications for admission till July 12, 2013 and the candidates should submit the application forms on or before this date to avoid problems at later stage.

Lahore, University of Health Sciences Lahore has offered foreign scholarships for the candidates in the disciplines of MS & PhD. The University is offering this scholarship scheme to the students by Higher Education Commission.

The university invites the students to forward their applications for this HEC funded project, which are being studied in the medical and dental professions. The University will grant scholarships to the candidates to get higher education in the medical and dental professions. This university will grant these scholarships in the programs of MS in Immunology, Medical education, Biochemistry and Pharmacology & PhD in Microbiology, Medical education and Pharmacology.

The candidates should forward their applications for grant of scholarships till June 10, 2013. The interested candidates will have to sign the affidavit that after completion of the MS or PhD degree, they will serve in the faculty of University of Health Sciences Lahore for about 5 years.
