Higher Education Commission is responsible for the improvement of higher education and learning in the government and private universities and degree awarding institutes. To ensure the higher standard of education in the country, HEC has given the task to the National Testing Service to conduct the GRE type test of the candidates like GAT test to get admission in the universities of the country in the particular subject.

The candidates will have to appear in the test and qualify the test so that they can apply for grant of admission in the universities recognized by HEC to get higher education in MPhil and PhD programs. At the time of forwarding of application forms, the candidates have to submit the required documents as well as copy of the result card issued by the NTS.

National Testing Service has been given the responsibility for the GRE type tests like Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General on the authority of the Higher Education Commission to get admission in the MPhil programs as well as the scholarship schemes set by the HEC.

* The candidates pass the GAT test and this test result will be valid for 2 years to get admission in the Universities or apply for the scholarship schemes of HEC.

Candidates will be eligible to appear in the test if they have passed the sixteen years of education.

• Candidates intend to improve the last GAT test result, they can also apply to appear in the test.
• Candidates will have to pass particular criteria for grant of admission in the Universities / apply for HEC schemes other than the passing of NAT test by NTS.

National Testing Service is conducting the GRE type tests like GAT (General) on the directives of the Higher Education Commission. This test is conducted for the candidates, who want to appear in the PhD program.

According to the latest immigration laws of UK, the migrants applying for entrance to UK or live in the UK as partner of any UK person, the applicant must have to show his ability to speak and comprehend English. TOEIC conducts the L&R test of the candidates, which is designed for the learners of English language, who are at the beginning and mid levels. When the result of this test is announced, it helps the test taking person to understand the progress with the level of proficiency and get the target for making betterment in their skills and expertise in the English language.

The L&R test has two major test sections:

• Listening Understanding — ability to listen the questions, brief discussion, recorded statements and brief chats in English
• Reading — ability to use the single sentences as well as texts

The understanding of Listening comprised of three portions including photographs, brief chats and question-response on the basis of the reading for the candidates, who have to answer sentences, which are incomplete and reading understanding in Reading section of the test.
