The decision to eliminate the GAT NAT test for admission in postgraduate programs has been taken by Quaid-e-Azam University. The university now will not accept the tests taken by National Testing Service and instead will held its own admission test. Now the notification has been issued by university administration that for PhD, MPhil and MS, the National Aptitude Test (NAT) and Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) will be terminated from next semester.
During a meeting of University Advance Studies, this decision was taken and it was presided over by Dr Aitzaz Ahmed, VC QAU. He also said that individual departments can hold their own test for every level and they’re independent to make decisions about the test.
