Elimination of Evening Shift in Capital Schools

Islamabad, About two decades ago, the evening or second shift in all government schools was introduced to accommodate the increasing number of students as there was less number of schools who could not cope with the increasing number of students.

Now the previous Prime Minister issued orders for the elimination of second or evening shift from all schools situated in Islamabad. Due to some problems this decision was not adopted and action was not taken on this plan.

Now the Federal Directorate of Education has said that the Minister of Capital Administration and Development has issued necessary directive to act on the decision. By implementing this decision the FDE authority has made strategy to work on the elimination of evening class in different phases. In the first phase, the classes from one to five will be eliminated during April 2013. In the second phase program, the classes of 6th and 7thj will be eliminated during April 2014 and in the final phase of the plan the classes from 8th to 10th will be eliminated

It is also decided that the students of all eliminated classes will be adjusted in other schools near to their residence.
