UPS Distribute among Over 17,000 Students in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, Punjab Government has started another unique scheme ‘Ujala Program’ in which uninterrupted power supply (UPS) will be distributed among the students which enables them to carry on their education round the clock. It is decided that the students of 9th and 10th classes of all government high schools who get more than 55% marks in their annual examinations will be given with these UPS devices.

The Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is going to distribute the UPS among more than 17,000 students of 9th and 10th classes of all government schools of Rawalpindi division in a ceremony being held at Arid Agriculture Pir Mehar Ali Shah University today. It has been learnt that there are about 5435 students of government high schools in Rawalpindi district who have been considered for award of UPS keeping in view their percentage in the annual exams. This solar energy UPS will help them to carry on their study without any interruption.
