Among toppers, institution heads, by CM Punjab, distribution of Rs 110m

More than Rs 110 million has been distributed, by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore, in a grand ceremony for toppers of intermediate examinations 2012, on Tuesday, among the position holders and heads of educational institutions from all over the country.

The Toppers Convention-2012 was attended by position holders of all the four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad, which at Alhamra Cultural Complex, was held.

By the Punjab Government, as according to the chief minister while speaking on the occasion, for the development of the education sector, extraordinary funds had been spent and with latest knowledge the youth was trained. To position holders of the whole country, by the Punjab government, cash prizes of Rs 550 million had been awarded, as added by him and the foundation of education revolution is laid.

Scholarships announced for deserving students by LCWU

Scholarships for its student who belongs to remote and unprivileged areas, has been announced by the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).

Dr. Sabiha Mansoor, the Vice Chancellor, chaired the committee for scholarship and decided that the students will the beneficiaries of 20 scholarships, who are from Interior Sindh, Punjab, FATA, Northern Areas, and KPK.

By whom all the scholarship criteria were fulfilled, those deserving students were called by the Vice Chancellor and following scholarships were awarded to them.

Two from Gilgit, One from Kohat, One from Ranjapur, Two from Sindh and One from Baluchistan, these are the mentioned (non-residents) students of LCWU, to whom full Silver Scholarships will be entitled at BS level and in the BS program, to the resident of LCWU from Hunza, one full Golden Scholarship will be given.

B.Com Exam Schedule announced for regular students for KU

In Karachi, by the University of Karachi, for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) examination, for regular students, the schedule has been declared. The exams from Monday, 24th December 2012, will be start.

As according to the officials, for B.Com part 1 & 2, from Monday, the examination would start. 35 examination centers are arranged by the University for the male candidates in different departments while in the port city, in different colleges, arrangement of 19 centers for female candidates is done.

Registration of around 9,729 male students and 7,314 female students is done to take the B.Com Part-I, whereas for the exam of B.Com Part-II, registration of 3,978 male candidates and 3,845 female candidates is done.

All examinations would be conducted as further said by official, between 2PM to 5PM in the afternoon.

Spring Admissions 2013 started by FCC in M.Phil Chemistry

To the Spring session 2013, the admissions have been opened by the Forman Christian College in Lahore while on 7th January 2013; it will be started in M.Phil Chemistry. In order to get admissions, the admission criteria and schedule has been described.

For Successful interview and passing FCC Aptitude Test in Chemistry (FATC), Candidate must have minimum CGPA 2.5 or 60% marks for conventional MSc and Graduate Assessment Test score of 50%, in the BSc (Hons) Chemistry or a related field or conventional MSc Chemistry or a related field.

From 7th January 2013, applications can be taken from the Ahmed Saeed Administration Building, Accounts Office and till the last date of Jan 14, 2013, the forms can be submitted.

On 18th January 2013, uploading of the names of shortlisted candidates will be done while the interviews in 21st Jan will be conducted and final merit list, on 24th Jan will be displayed while classes from 11th Feb 2013 would begin.

Dates and Schedule 2013 in Pakistan of GAT General Test

The officials have now declared the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General Test Schedule for the year 2013. To the National Testing Service (NTS), the responsibility of conducting the exams of GAT General Test is assigned but basically with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), this test has been concerned. For the admissions, this test is taken in M.Phil and HEC Scholarship Schemes.

For two years, the results of the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General is valid only and to appear in this test, the eligibility criteria include those students by whom sixteen years of education have been completed. Many cities where GAT Test is taken in Pakistan include Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujranwala, and Hyderabad.

The task to the National Testing Service (NTS) has been defined by the higher education commission as according to the new rules and regulation for conducting General Assessment Test (GAT) and for other purposes like scholarships etc for all the universities. He or she should have a passing certificate GAT Test otherwise that person will not allowed to take admissions by the University which has been compulsory for every those students who want to take admissions in M.Phil programmes. By the candidate for appearing in the GAT General Test, from the HEC recognized University, 16 years of education must be cleared and in these cities the student have to choose where NTS is conducted which includes Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad and Dera Ghazi Khan.

PU Starts PGD in Institutional Management exams from Dec 24
