Rana Mashood, Punjab Education Minister, announced that the government schools in Punjab will remain close for summer holidays from June 01, 2014 while the private schools will take holidays from June 10, 2014. While talking to media outside provincial assembly, the minister said that the vacations in government schools will held from 1^st June to 14^th august while it is necessary for private schools to give holidays from 10^th June 2014.

Islamabad, Federal Public Service Commission has announced the result of the competitive exams for 2013 in which it was declared that only 220 candidates were declared successful. FPSC has already conducted the written exams of the candidates few months before and when the results of the FPSC were ready, it was announced.

According to the details of the competitive exams of CSS 2013, total 11406 candidates participated in the exams but a large majority of the students was declared failed and only 238 candidates were passed with the percentage of 1.93%. When the interviews of these students were conducted then only 220 students were finally selected and appointed in the Federal government in the BS-17. The candidates are asked to check their detailed result of CSS on the website www.biseresult.pk for the information and for the comfort of the students.

The 9^th class online registration date has been extended by all the boards of Punjab on All Pakistan Private School Association’s demand. 20^th May 2014 was the previous last date for online registration of 9^th class regular students but now 28^th May 2014 is the extended date for online registration. 5^th June 2014 is now the last date for submission of registration returns and chalan forms in the office of boards. 29^th May to 11^th June 2014 is the schedule for late registration with Rs. 500 fine. 18^th June 2014 is the last date to submit late registration return.
