Lahore, University of the Punjab has issued complete schedule for the summer vacations. The University has announced that the summer vacations will be started from July 08, 2013 and continue till September 20, 2013. As there are exams in different disciplines so there can be some amendments in the schedule of the summer vacations.
Islamabad, Allama Iqbal Open University has started admission process for grant of admission in the MPhil, MS and PhD programs for the Autumn Semester 2013. The admission will be started to the students from today in all regional campuses at the same time.
Vice Chancellor of the University has started the insertion of the admission forms with prospectus for Autumn Semester 2013 on the website of the University. the candidates should submit their admission forms with the processing fee of Rs.500 to the Admission Office of the University.

The university has also declared the complete date sheet and schedule of the supply exams for the year 2012 for LLB Part I, II and III and these exams will be started from June 11, 2013.

Faisalabad, The Examination Department of the Government College University Faisalabad has announced the complete date sheet for the supply exams of B.Ed/M.Ed for the year 2012 and these exams will be started during June this year. Lahore, During the summer season, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore is going to conduct the summer internship programs for the students with the collaboration of WWF, Pakistan. The university will conduct this summer internship program in their Department of Environmental Sciences. The university will award the certificate of WWF after completion of the internship program 2013 for the summer season and this certificate will be accepted in about 100 countries of the world.

Islamabad, Pakistani students studying in Pak Turk School Islamabad have prepared a device, Automatic Meter Reader to eradicate load shedding in the country. The students, Shahbaz Khattak and Abdul Moizz have prepared this electric device, Automatic Meter Reader on the basis of GSM and they presented this sophisticated device in the international competition of Computer Projects in Romania. This device will help the energy providing companies to finish the load shedding problems and minimize the theft of energy.

The students have presented this device in the international competition and shared its properties including provision of data to the service providing company, which helps them to carry out the problems of billing and trouble shooting. This device stood second in the competition and got the silver medal. This device can be used for the provision of accurate data, improvement in managing the energy, perceiving the moderation and used for the fire alarm and security system. It can also provide support to minimize the theft of electricity, which caused heavy loss of Rs. 250 billions to the government sector.
The deadline for the application form submission of 9th class annual exams has been extended by the Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen which can now be submitted till 31st may, 2013. The principals of private and government institutions linking with nine boards of Punjab have to submit complete forms with bank registration to be deposit till 31st May, 2013.
All the Principals are directed to submit the enrolment return hardcopy with original challan fee of all the respective students till 10th June, 2013. With a late fee of Rs500 the admission forms can also be submitted till the 10th of June whereas the enrolment return and original fee challan of these students can forwarded till 17th June, 2013.
